A few wahines of AP were privileged to do a volunteer show with our musician Matt (Hutch) for The Alisa Ann Ruch Burn Foundation. Founded in 1971, the Burn Foundation works in partnership with firefighters, educators, and burn care professionals to develop innovative programs and services. Camp Champ is held at the Wonder Valley Ranch. It is a weeklong residential summer camp experience that provides a supportive atmosphere in which a child can feel at ease and have fun! The child has an opportunity to meet others who have gone through a similar experience and to realize he/she is not alone with their injury. It spotlights a person's "inner beauty" not the burn scars. Mahalo nui loa to Matt for inviting us! As you can see from the pictures below we had an awesome time. =)
